A case involving two Brody Brandner, Ltd. clients made headlines and front-page news as a high school wrestler and his coach took the IHSA to court and won, earning their story a spot on McHenry County's Biggest Stories of 2023.
This winter, Brody Brandner, Ltd. and its clients made waves when our office successfully petitioned for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against the Illinois High School Association (IHSA). After the IHSA imposed sanctions against Marian Central Catholic High School, located on McHenry Avenue in Woodstock, the Circuit Court issued an order halting a 4-year suspension against the school's freshman All-American wrestler, Jimmy Mastny, and halting a 1-year suspension against the school's wrestling coach, Jordan Blanton, a 3-time NCAA All-American wrestler from the University of Illinois. Jimmy and Jordan's incredible story made headlines and front-page news throughout Chicagoland, including earning a slot on the Northwest Herald's "McHenry County’s biggest stories of 2023" list.
